Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
A registered dental hygienist (RDH) is a licensed oral healthcare professional who works closely with the dentist and dental assistant. They are primarily responsible for your preventative dental care services, cleaning teeth, and oral assessments and examinations.
Tracey moved from Charleston, WV to South Carolina in 1989, where she graduated from Summerville High School. After working as an Orthodontic Assistant for 8 years, Tracey decided to go to dental hygiene school and graduated from Trident Technical College with her Dental Hygiene Degree & License in 2002. Tracey has been working with Dr. Beall for over 13 years now and loves her patients and what she does to make their smiles healthy. Tracey lives in Summerville, SC with her husband Webb, little boy Mason, and their Great Dane Bella; she enjoys the beach, anything outdoors, spending time with her family, and watching WVU college football.
Our James Island native, Lynn, grew up with the first dentist established on the island, her father. After attending Midlands Technical College for her Associate Degree in Health Science, Lynn joined the dental hygiene field, where she has worked for over 28 years (17 with Dr. Beall). She enjoys boating, fishing. camping, and going to the beach with her two beautiful daughters and husband of 25 years; Lynn also loves to watch reality shows like Survivor, The Voice, and American Idol as well as dramas like AMC’s Breaking Bad.
Shannon moved to Charleston in 2000 from the eastern shore of Maryland to attend The College of Charleston, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2004. After years of research at MUSC, she decided to enter the dental hygiene field. Shannon, her husband Bret, and their dog Ella enjoy live music, boating, and ‘Supper Club’ with friends.
Carrie was born in Sumter, SC but was raised in Illinois. After 6 years in the National Guard, Carrie moved back to South Carolina in 2004 and attended Trident Technical College to earn her professional hygiene degree. Carrie loves spending time with her family and dog, Elly, as well as traveling to new places
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)
Certified dental assistants (CDA) are trained in general chairside assisting (GS), radiation health and safety (RHS), infection control (ICE), and nitrous oxide monitoring. Assistants work closely with the dentist to perform their intricate hands-on procedures quickly and efficiently while making your visit relaxing and enjoyable.
Jaime was born and grew up in Gainesville, FL, where she initially received her Associate of Arts from Santa Fe College. After moving to Charleston in 2003, Jaime earned her Dental Assisting Diploma from Trident Technical College right here in the low country. Jaime has been working in our office for over 11 years and is a member of ADAA (American Dental Assistants Association) and DANB certified (Dental Assisting National Board). In her free time, Jaime loves to spend time with her chihuahua, Lulu, and her cat, Baby Kitty, as well as fishing, going to the beach, and catering.
Born and raised in Summerville, SC, Becca graduated from Stratford High School in 1999 and joined the dental industry in 2002. After being trained on the job and loving her experience, Becca went back to school to Trident Technical College to earn a Dental Assisting Degree and an Expanded Duties Certificate. After joining our practice in 2011, Becca has been fortunate to learn periodontics under Dr. Blanton. Becca has a daughter, Conner Marie (her dog), and enjoys exercising (particularly cross-fit), hiking and camping, anything outdoors, learning to play the drums, and attending Seacoast Church every Sunday; she feels thankful and blessed to be part of our dental family and enjoys the new adventure each day brings.

Growing up in Long Island, NY, Patty entered the dental field in 1983 as a dental assistant and has been immersed in the field ever since. Patty joined Dr. Beck at his office right after she moved to Charleston in 1997 and has been working with Dr. Beall since 2004 as our Office Manager. Patty lives in North Charleston with her daughter, husband, and their dog, Darla.
Cindy moved to South Carolina in 2001 and has been working in the dental field for over 25 years now. Cindy has ample experience in dentistry with a dental technician as a father. Growing up in Puerto Rico, Cindy became fluently bilingual in English and Spanish; she’d be happy to answer any questions you might have in either language.
Originally from Maine, Tabby moved to Charleston from Lancaster, PA nine years ago. She worked for a dental office in Lancaster but when she moved to Charleston she took a year and a half off before starting here at James Island Family, Cosmetic, & Implant Dentistry in 2007. Tabby, her husband, Steve, and Golden Retriever, Maisie, live on John’s Island. Tabby loves spending time with her family; she and Steve have 3 children and 4 beautiful grandchildren who live in the Charleston area. Tabby also enjoys antiquing and decorating in her free time.
